Bad Debtors in Berkshire
Bad Debtors are a pain… but what can we do about them? Would it be legal for us to post information on the web about those who are very bad at paying on time?
This follows through from Hugh’s article last week…
One of the things that really winds me up is business people making agreements and then not following through.
I’m guilty of being easy going and assuming they will come good on what was agreed. Therefore we do the work and then raise the invoice, allowing them to pay after most, or all, of the work has been completed. It would seem that some see this as an opportunity to avoid payment completely. The works been done, so why worry about paying!
At the weekend we were in a restaurant and witnessed someone move their cup in such away that the waiter spilled coffee on them. They then refused to pay their bill… free loading wasters… and these guys were in their 60’s!!!!
My question to any legal eagles out there is… can we name and shame these people?
We have the vehicle to help these businesses gain maximum exposure… BusinessinBerkshire.co.uk could have a page, or more, listing those that hadn’t paid up on agreements or had a habit of delaying payment beyond what was reasonable.
