Tony Smith of FSB South West Policy Unit was also there and asked the panel of distinguished MPs a probing question on any new stealth taxes they may be looking to impliment day 1 on the job!
Alan Milburn (labour) and the other 2 panelists, whose names I will confirm later, did say a few words.
I had my hand up ready to ask the third question on the topic and Jonathan had to move on to the third topic, immigration.
It was a lovely day for a drive up the city and next time I go up for the programme I will make sure I have my questions ready and my hand in the air from the off. Another lessoned learned.
As the show came to a close I asked Jonathan if he would kindly pose for a picture with Tony (who asked the question - not Blair!) He did and reminded us that he has an organic farm & shop and therefore a small business owner. We didn't ask if he was a member!
Jonathan Dimbleby is also currently the president of the soil association and of Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO).
