Business interest leads to further developments |
Demand for floor space from businesses has led a developer to invest in the construction of two more buildings.
Demand for space at Reading's Green Park has convinced Prudential subsidiary PruPIM to begin the extra building work, it told the Reading Chronicle. And according to the firm, it is small and medium-sized businesses that are choosing the site, at 100 Longwater Avenue. "They have attracted a lot of interest. If anything we are turning people away," Tim Davis director of PruPIM told the paper. He added: "America has been chugging away for a few years and businesses are now acquiring each other again and people are investing. We are probably leading the way in terms of business parks." Prudential's two new buildings are being constructed at 260 and 280 South Oak way and total 82,000 sq ft. A report recently revealed that demand for office space in the city was at its highest since 2001. |
