Return of Ascot creates business opportunities
|
The return of Royal Ascot, one of Berkshire's premium sports events and key business occasions, is creating new opportunities for business success.
The meeting was held in York last year while the Berkshire course was updated, but now the meeting is set to return to the county, bringing with it plenty of opportunities for business as well as gambling. Its £200 million redevelopment means that it is now more luxurious than ever and is sure to impress clients and business partners alike. Changes to meeting rules have already created business opportunities for some. A new rule dictating that top hat and tails must be worn by anyone invited to a hospitality box has excited formal wear companies. "It's fantastic news," Philip Mountford, chief executive of Moss Bros told the Guardian. Mr Mountford, who is a regular at Royal Ascot, added: "It could mean hiring out 2,000 extra suits." Over 300,000 people make the annual visit to Berkshire during Royal Ascot week, making it Europe's most popular race meeting. The Royal Meeting will run from June 20th to June 24th. |
