Berkshire financial advisor saves himself £250 after ID theft
Financial advisors don't usually have their own bank details investigated, and if the determination of one Berkshire advisor is anything to go by, that is for good reason.

When Richard Bradbury from Whitley was the victim of identity theft, he took it as his cue to do a little bit of ID investigating of his own, according to the Reading Chronicle.

After being told that it could take up to two weeks to begin catching the crook, Mr Bradbury went about finding the time, date and place of the delivery of goods, bought from Argos using his name and card, worth £250.

"I felt really angry. They have my name, and there's enough information out there to find out my date of birth, get a birth certificate in my name, and the identity theft is up and running," he told the paper.

He then called in Berkshire bobbies to intercept the goods, but a police spokesman reportedly said that no arrests were made as a consequence.

Mr Bradbury added: "I imagine there are some criminals out there who are suffering some well deserved sleepless nights, and so they jolly well should."
