Berkshire hosts business talk aimed at women entrepreneurs

A seminar is to be held in Slough that will be giving advice to women entrepreneurs from around the country on how to secure finance for their business.
The event is one of two that have been organised by Finance South East, in partnership with Slough Enterprise Gateway.
Basic business skills will be the main focus of the meeting, with advice being handed out on preparing a business plan, networking and ways in which to go about securing finance for a business idea at the very early stages of its development.
Sally Goodsell, Finance South East chief executive, explained: "Women face different challenges to men and statistically are still half as likely as men to start their own business.
"Fear of debt is one of the main reasons stated so by providing information about the types of finance available and showing them how to access it, these events are essential in helping women overcome this barrier."
The seminar will take place on February 21st at Baylis House, Slough.
