Bracknell has a green Christmas
|
Rudolph the green-nosed reindeer has taken over Bracknell's Princess Square this week to make Christmas a little more environmentally friendly.
Organised by Bracknell Forest Borough Council, the Green Christmas display is giving shoppers ideas on how to have an eco-friendly Yuletide with ideas about recycling and shopping with the environment in mind.
The team is also helping to promote green transport and energy conservation.
Executive member of the council Terry Mills said: "Christmas is a very busy time for all of us but nevertheless, there are excellent opportunities to think green."
Rudolph is spreading the message by handing out free canvas shopping bags, energy saving light bulbs and cistern hippos, which reduce the amount of water your toilet uses.
A prize draw is offering the chance to win a green hamper filled with environmentally friendly products, including a pair of wine flutes made out of recycled glass and bottles of organic wine.
Mr Mills added: "Do take the opportunity to take part in the prize draw for all the green prizes by visiting the stand and filling in the free voucher."
