December sees pantomime season coming to Berkshire with a great selection on offer.
The Theatre Royal Windsor annual treat for the family will be Beauty and the Beast, starring Wayne Sleep, Only Fools and Horse's Sue Holderness, aka Marlene, and Radio 2's Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart.
Reading's Hexagon will be inviting all to its production of Cinderella.
The stars on show include Lynda Baron, known for Open All Hours, Last Of The Summer Wine and Dinner Ladies, as the Fairy Godmother, Michelle Hardwick, of ITV's The Royal, and Geoffrey Davies (Doctor in the House) as Baron Hardup.
The Corn Exchange Newbury is also putting on a production of Cinderella, but the biggest stars will by the local children that have won the chance to get involved.
Bracknell's Anvil theatre will be making audiences laugh with Dick Whittington, featuring CBBC's Barney Harwood, Richard Calkin from Hollyoaks and Anna Karen, Olive from On The Buses.
The Watermill Theatre, the West Berkshire playhouse, meanwhile has decided to move away from traditional pantomimes and has gone for a musical production of the Jungle Book, telling the story of Mowgli the man cub, and his animal friends.
