November entertainment
|
November is another busy month for entertainment in Berkshire, with many top names heading to the county and many great shows to see.
For music Reading will be hosting a performance by Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra at the Hexagon on November 24th and Blondie, playing all their greatest hits including Heart of Glass, Atomic and Denis, will be at the Rivermead Leisure Complex on November 25th.
For jazz the legendary Courtney Pine will also be at the Hexagon on November 11th.
For comedy there is also plenty on offer with one of the best choices being Ben Elton performing his new stand up show twice at Reading and at the New Greenham Arts centre.
At the Theatre Royal Windsor the highlight of the month is a production of Frederick Winterbourne's Daisy Miller, the tale of a flighty young aristocrat living in Geneva, starring Jean Boht of Bread, Sandra Dickinson and EastEnder Scarlett Johnson (Vicki Fowler) in the title role.
Windsor will also host the world premiere of Joanna Trollope's Marrying the Mistress.
