Slough school gets DVD
Slough schoolchildren have been given the chance to star in a new DVD.

Pupils from Beechwood School, Slough, have made a DVD to help promote the school.

The film features interviews with teacher, pupils, parents and ex-pupils and the DVDs were made available at parents evening.

Working with a professional cameraman and producer, the film marks an important stage of development for the school as it is set to move to a new site and share it with Arbour Vale School.

Mike Gaffin, assistant head, told the Slough and Langley Observer, said: "We just thought it was a good point in time to celebrate how far we felt the school had come with the move to a new school it would be nice to catch the feel-good factor."

The new site will have a sports hall, swimming pool and facilities for adult learning.

Headteacher Julia Shepard added: "My core aim is for Beechwood to become the best school in our area.

"I don't necessarily mean top of the league tables, I mean an environment where youngsters flourish and are motivated to achieve academic success."
