Royal Ascot - Chesney's Christmas Cracker

90’s pop stars Jason Donovan and Chesney Hawkes came together for a fantastic fundraising evening at Club 1 in Ascot. Chesney's Christmas Cracker - a musical spectacular hosted by EastEnders star Bobby Davro, raised £24,000 for the White Lodge Centre in Chertsey.

White Lodge works with disabled adults, children and their families to provide a creative, individually tailored service to meet their needs. It costs about £1000 a day to run the centre.

The duo sang a comical version of Especially For You, a 1988 hit for Jason and Kylie. Other performances came from rocker Rick Parfitt Jnr and pop legend Nik Kershaw.

Chesney’s Challenge followed in which the artiste ate pig’s snout for a ‘bush tucker trial’.

One fortunate groupie got the opportunity to join Chesney on stage to perform the 1991 hit The One And Only.
