3.05 Windsor Forest Stakes (Class 1) (Group 2) (fillies & Mares) 1m straight.The Windsor Forest Stakes is a new race to the Royal Meeting this year and part of an industry wide initiative to encourage connections of the leading Classic generation fillies from the previous year to keep their stars in training. The race is open only to fillies and mares aged 4 or over. Group 1 winners carry a penalty, so the option of the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes, where no penalties are carried, is still very much open to the very best fillies.There is no doubt that Sajjhaa 4/1 ridden by Frankie Dettori will go off favourite following a group 3 success in Italy as well as setting a challenge for Midday at York recently. However, the steady improver in the race is I’m a Dreamer 5/1 whose performance at Newmarket recently showed real class potential. Should this improvement continue then the battle to the line could be between Sajjhaa and I’m a Dreamer with my hat tilted towards the former. Main bet: I’m a Dreamer 5/1 each way. No: 7 on the racecard.
