First run in 1840, the Coronation Stakes was founded to commerorate the crowning of Queen Victoria in 1838. This mile event is the fillies’ equivalent of the St James’s Palace Stakes and attracts horses that have run well in the English, Irish and French Guineas.

SPACIOUS is a very strong filly and may go off favourite in this but following her dazzling York triumph and could prove the better of INFALLIBLE – both horses from Cheveley Park Stud. LUSH LASHES failed to shine at Epsom. The stamina just wasn’t there after having been asked for an effort. However, trainer Bolger is not disheartened and feels she can shine again!
