Berkshire Community Foundation - Local Network Fund

We have awarded a further £82,460 in grants during February & March 06 to 14 groups who work with children & young people facing disadvantage. These conclude an extremely successful year in our management of the Local Network Fund on behalf of central government.

For example, grants were given to: Woodley Cricket Club, to establish a Colts team at the club, fully equipped and accessible to young people regardless of means or background. Awarded £6,990 Daisy’s Dream, for family events to support bereaved children. Awarded £7,000 Church Street Child Contact Centre, Slough, to provide a safe and positive venue for separated families to be together and resolve contact issues. Awarded £2,000.

WE CAN NOW ANNOUNCE that this programme has been extended until March 2008, bringing a further £700,000 into our county through the Berkshire Community Foundation.
