Employee Volunteering
Community Spirit is a great way to get volunteering!

It draws people from different companies together to lend a much needed and appreciated hand to local voluntary groups.

Community Spirit’s Members provide volunteers for one-off practical projects usually (though not always) arranged for Saturdays. Sessions usually run from 9.00 am - 2.00 pm and refreshments are provided. Projects take place every 3 - 4 months and they are always great fun and very rewarding.

Volunteers are advised to wear old/protective clothing as most projects involve painting and decorating or gardening. Volunteers receive a certificate recognising their involvement and a record is kept of the hours given by each volunteer.

Donor companies to the Foundation can become members of Community Spirit by paying an annual £100 membership fee which helps to cover the costs of materials etc.

Community Spirit projects are a great way to put something back into the community. As projects are held approximately every quarter, joining Community Spirit is not a big commitment although it makes a big difference!
