Who first said this? It is open to debate. Was it Will Rogers a film star cowboy of the thirties, or Oscar Wilde? Regardless of who said it, it is an incontrovertible truth. The first impression is the one that lasts. It is essential therefore that we get it right from the beginning. I am delighted to present to you this flexible framework that, for the last 11 years, has enabled me to create selling presentations of power and impact on QVC The Shopping Channel. It is a tried and tested formula that I use to coach others. It can be used in the boardroom, in front of an audience, in a business pitch, even a Wedding speech. Indeed, in any situation where you are required to influence and motivate those listening. In today’s sound bite society we need to do more than just present the facts.
