Business in Berkshire Apprentice Programme

Business in Berkshire (BinB) Apprentice Programme

Three core aims of the BinB Apprentice Programme:

• Accelerate the learning & growth curves of individuals looking to make connections and develop their own small businesses.
• Provide Business in Berkshire Members with a low cost promotional resource.
• Generate marketing content for Business in Berkshire and associated online marketing platforms.

A desired win, win, win for all the parties involved!

• Apprentices gain experience of work with other people in a small business.
• They learn how to generate clear marketing messages.
• They gain an understanding of how small businesses work.
• The BinB Members act as mentors / buddies for the Apprentice.
• BinB has more content for the search engines / real humans to enjoy.

Anyone can be a BinB Apprentice they just need to make a commitment to the Apprentice Programme.

The BinB Apprentice is provided with FREE BinB Apprentice Membership to help them get started. This is a 12 month programme and as long as they keep to the agreement, membership is FREE. If they choose to leave the programme they have the choice to pay the annual fee for their membership, currently £180 + Vat per year.

Only BinB members can buddy / mentor our BinB Apprentices.

What does being part of the Business in Berkshire Apprentice Programme involve?

Essentially the Apprentice will be required to keep in regular contact with their mentor.

At the agreed frequency the Apprentice will generate articles about their mentor or their contacts.

These articles will be published in the appropriate Business in Berkshire email newsletter. One story per week will be the maximum, generally once or twice a month will be the requirement of the programme.

Once a month one of the articles will be turned into a pdf by our design team. This both enhances the articles impact and provides the apprentice with quality collateral and proof of their work to date for any prospective client.

Networking events for the Apprentices will be helpd to share learning and build connections.

Every year we will hold a formal Awards ceremony at which the Apprentices and their mentors / buddies will come together, explain how great their business partners are and appropriate accolades presented to the winners!

Launch of this great Innovation

Our first event is 23rd April 2007 in Reading where the Apprentice Programme will be launched and people can meet to consider their options.

At this event Business in Berkshire will showcase itself and budding buddies given the chance to explain their greatness!
