East Berkshire Education Business Partnership
A not for profit organisation, the EBP covers the towns of Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor, Burnham, and Ascot to facilitate direct & tailored links between locals schools and colleges with local businesses.
Open to young people from 5 to 19, the EBP aims to raise student aspirations and achievement through a series of fun activities delivered in a professional and mutually beneficial way. Local businesses have the chance to meet and influence the workforce of tomorrow.
Our initiatives are based around three key areas of:
1. Work Based Learning: we place and prepare 3,500 students in work experience every year.
2. Curriculum Projects: linking the needs of the curriculum as well as those of local businesses and the community. We also arrange placements for teachers to establish links with business, and create mentoring opportunities for both students and teaching staff.
3. Vocational Learning: a key worker programme (following ASDAN accreditation) and construction program (BEST T5) plus our experience of work placements helps us develop individual aspirations on a vocational basis.
