Apprentice Programme - Chris Campbell

Chris has worked in IT development for over 23 years and also has a background as a professional football player from days spent living in the USA.

A specialist in web and touchscreen technologies, he has been developing a 42” touchscreen application and system. Initially for use in the professional sporting world, the prototype system is attracting interest from many other areas.

The system could transform corporate presentations by replacing interactive whiteboards and projectors hooked up to laptops.

At trade shows, an interactive touchscreen display acts as a strategic advertising medium whilst in the classroom it offers a hands-on approach to learning along with multimedia eLearning and eChalkboard capabilities. Other possible applications include law enforcement (replacing crime investigation boards in an incident room environment).

Rivalling plasma display screens, the equipment is highly transportable and will also be available in a 55” screen size if required. It comes in a mobile flight case with an remote controlled lift mechanism and can act as a multimedia player with 5.1 surround sound.

On a personal note, Chris is a classically trained tenor and sings for an organisation called the Three Waiters who send him to nice places like Dubai, Venice, and Ireland to sing at corporate and stately functions.
