Consultation and advice
|
Your first consultation - will enable you to meet our team in an open and friendly environment.
Free 45 minute consultation – You will be given a free 45 minute consultation with one of our treatment co-ordinators, where you will be offered refreshments and invited to discuss the aspects of dentistry in which you are interested. We have dental information available on DVD, CD, in books, models and photographs, all of which you can peruse. At this appointment we will ask you about your previous medical and dental history to help us to give you the correct advice. All your appointments - When you make an appointment, we reserve that time exclusively for you. Please come early if you wish and our team will be happy to provide you with refreshments. Every effort will be made to ensure that you are not kept waiting. We realise that occasionally an appointment may have to be changed due to personal circumstances. As time in a dental clinic is a precious resource, we ask that you allow 24 hours notice, in order that we may allocate the time to another patient. If the Clinic is not given sufficient notice of a cancellation a charge will be made for the loss of surgery time. From time to time emergencies do occur, whilst we endeavour to keep the impact to other patients to a minimum occasionally this can cause us to run late with the next appointment, if this happens we will keep you informed of the situation. Relaxed atmosphere – If you are very nervous we will offer you the opportunity of spending some time in our lounge area, to help you to relax and meet various members of our team in a non-clinical environment. Pop in when you feel able to, have some refreshments and talk to our treatment co-ordinators, until such time as you are ready to progress further.
Thorough examination – After your free initial consultation you can book a full examination with an Appledore dentist, who will fully examine your mouth, soft tissue, teeth, gums and jaw joints. You will have the opportunity to discuss how you would like to improve your smile. Dental care report – You will be sent this report which details your current dental health, recommendations for future dental treatment and cosmetic dental enhancements which may be available to you.
Treatment – More than one option - Where possible we try to give you more than one option for your treatment, this is discussed in the surgery and the most suitable option is decided upon between yourself and your dentist.
