My name is Annick McKenzie, I am a professional artist with a passion for colour! I was born in France , lived in Canada and the USA.
I came to the UK in 1977 and I am based in Taplow, near Maidenhead, Berkshire.
I started to paint in the late 1990’s, attended Art College and became a professional painter in 2005. As an artist my aim is to create an atmosphere of well being which in turn enables people to feel happier. Painting gives me a way to inspire people to make positive changes in their lives. It is why I paint.’
My work is about the wonder and energy of life and my aim is to communicate its essence.
I work mostly from sketches drawn in ‘plein air’ or I take photographs and re-create in my studio to produce paintings that hold and express the magic feeling of the moment.
