31st January 2009: Scrummy Mummy Curry night
ADCCT's female supporters will warm up during a chilly January with a Scrummy Mummy Curry Night on 31st January 2009. The annual evening started as a way of thanking the Mums of children at Alexander's school who were so supportive to Fiona during his illness and is now a fun, relaxed way for the charity to say thank-you to all its female supporters. "It's always a fantastic evening," said Fiona Devine from ADCCT. "It's a really lovely evening way for us ladies to have a good time together and for the Trust to say thank-you, too." The venue is the Clewer Youth and Community Hall on Parsonage Lane in Windsor which is opposite the school Alexander attended. The hall give the venue to ADCCT for the night and the curries are provided by two fantastic chefs: a local Mum who lost her little boy to illness and Fiona's own Mum. A local family sponsor the drinks and there is a raffle to raise additional funds. This is the third year that the Scrummy Mummy Curry Night will feature on the ADCCT events calendar. Attendance has grown 20% every year so ADCCT hope that 2009 will be bigger and better than ever. Tickets for this laid-back, fun evening are just £15 for which guests get a glass of wine on arrival, a two course meal and, of course, the chance to chinwag in a brilliant atmosphere!
