ADCCT benefit from Berkshire Butterfly Ball |

ADCCT were delighted to be part of a glamorous Butterfly Ball in Windsor on 15th November 2008. The Dunnetts, a local family who lost their little boy Callum to a genetic disorder last year, decided to host the event to support a local charity, and selected ADCCT as the lucky charity which would benefit. During Callum's illness, the Dunnetts used a hospice in London and subsequently realised how great the need is for a Berkshire hospice.
The Castle Hotel in Windsor was the venue for 300 guests to eat, drink and party whilst raising funds for a fantastic cause. The raffle had some truly astounding prizes including five nights in Dubai with flights and signed Premiership football shirts. A mystery guest arrived to enjoy the party: none other than Elvis himself! £45,000 was raised in total through sales of tickets, the raffle and a silent auction. Fiona Devine from ADCCT expressed her thanks to the Dunnett family for putting on the Butterfly Ball, and said, "We are indebted to the Dunnets and hope they will remain supporters of the trust for a long time to come."
