Where to start with Risk Assessments
Undertaking an assessment of the Hazard’s in the workplace and addressing the Risks correctly will improve productivity and protect your assets – whether they are your workforce or products. Where the workplace is concerned there are five simple steps when undertaking a Risk Assessment as dictated by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Step 1: Identify the hazards
Step 2: Decide who might be harmed and how
Step 3: Evaluate the risks and decide on precaution
Step 4: Record your findings and implement them
Step 5: Review your assessment and update if necessary

To also assist Businesses in Berkshire in identifying what Health and Safety Guidance is available for them the HSE has information available free on line in many Business Sectors. Do not over look the responibility for Disabled Workers in your work place, the main rule of thumb is never make assumptions about Disabled Workers, Best Practice is involve the work force at all stages - believe it or not it can save time and money.

Also, don't forget the Adults with L Plates - Young Persons they will need a greater assistance when undertaking risk assessments due to their lack of knowledge

If the guidance in your Business Sector is still daunting or you just don’t have the time, Absolute Health and Safety Solutions Ltd can undertake all your Risk Assessments and prepare them for you to manage and review in the future. Namely we will do the graft work and you can be the caretaker and mange the results and if need be we can review them with you either annually, bi annually or when you company dictates. Just call Michele, Lorna or Tina on 0845 864 6934 or email on info@absolutehss.co.uk and they will arrange a suitable time to discuss how we can help.
