It is a legal requirement for employers to undertake DSE Risk Assessments of employees that are deemed as Display Screen Equipment Users under the Display Screen Equipment Regulations 2002.
We as Health and Safety Consultants are also obliged to follow the same set of laws. Recently one of our employees with a recurring back problem was off work with a result of lower back pain.
Two products that we have now purchased are the Ergonomic Freedom Chair made by Humanscale and the Nostra Sit and Stand Desk. These have not only assisted the individual back to work, but allows the choice of working in the sitting position or standing position.
