Fire Risk Assessment

Scope
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 an employer must carry out a Fire Risk Assessment, where significant hazards are identified then implement the necessary control measures to reduce any associated risks to an acceptable level. This Risk Assessment must then be periodically reviewed to ensure that the control measures are still effective - this review period depends on the type of business and the hazards present. Legislation • Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 Service Carry out a basic no frills Fire Risk Assessment in line with current legislation to include: • Reviewing all Heat Sources, Ignition Sources and Oxygen Sources with the premises. • Reviewing all current control measures in place including: Fire Routes, Fire Safety Signage, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Systems. • Reviewing current policies and procedures relating to organisation management of Fire Safety. On completion of the Fire Risk Assessment meet with the client and discuss the findings and explain practical methods of reducing the risk to an acceptable level.
