CDM Coordinator service offered

The CDM Coordinator service that Absolute Health and Safety Solutions Ltd offers requires a number of tasks to be addressed these will also include supporting the Client duties to assist them in carrying out their duties under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007), regulation 9 and 10. This will include:

a. Preparation of Pre Construction Information H&S Pack
i) Agree all H&S Safety requirements for works
ii) Confirm scope of works and hazardous operations
iii) Detail limitations of works and access to site
iv) Details of any possible conflicts of works with other contractor works taking place
v) Include any past H&S Files and information
NB: Where the information available is of a large scale (that the information is not justified copying and issuing to tenders or where the information is of a commercial) host a library service to allow tendering contractors to visit site view and copy information as required, all records maintained

b. Undertake competency review of Principle Contractor, Contractors and Designer(s)

c. Submission of HSE Notification in accordance with Schedule 2 of the CDM 2007 Regulations

d. Confirm requirements of Health and Safety File

e. Formal letters of appointment – confirmation of all duties and compliance with CDM 2007, regulation 7, General principles of prevention

f. Review Designers Risk Assessment and confirmation of duties laid down in CDM 2007, regulation 11, 18

g. Review of Principle Contractors Health and Safety arrangements and confirmation of duties laid down in CDM 2007, regulations 19, 22, 23, 24, 26-44, which includes

i) Construction H&S Plan
ii) Method Statements & Associated Risk Assessments
iii) Health and Safety Arrangements
iv) Welfare arrangements
v) Communication and Cooperation
vi) Training and Competence

h. Conduct initial meeting with successful Principle Contractor, Designers and Project Manager – confirm arrangements and future meetings

i. Attend regular meetings (twice weekly, weekly or fortnightly) – coordinate communication & cooperation, Receive Health & Safety File information from all contractors and suppliers

j. Coordinate any major incident/accident investigation as required

k. Review Health and Safety File prior to issue to Client within 10 days of completion
