Chasing key words to drive search traffic your wayThis article has been written to help you with b2b sales lead generation. It contains useful information for those considering creating small business websites that work! If the grammar rubs a little then we are sorry, we are looking to inform you while offering seo services to the UK!

This is the first of 10 articles, containing at least 6 contextual links to be published over six search engine friendly websites. Meeting rooms at The Oriel, Slough

Meeting rooms at The Oriel, SloughWherever you lay your business hat...

There are many times in the life of a small business when a fixed overhead can be more of a burden than an asset. The question often arises: is it better to have a commercial lease plus your own support staff, or are more beneficial options available??

In the beginning, new technologies such as broadband, skype and virtual conference services, mean that small businesses can easily be launched from a spare room. Despite the appeal of minimal infrastructure and the ease of home working, once more staff are recruited and business processes start to multiply, inflexibility, risk and responsibility also increase. To keep the business in shape, some form of centralisation is often required.

Good morning <07 Name>

Last week saw my connections grow by over 200% on Linked In from 33 to 78 by connecting with those people who knew me! Today I am going to spend the morning exploring Linked In and connecting with people I don't know but who know my contacts. Let's see if we can connect with another 30 business men and women and grow our contacts to over 100! (Some of our contacts have hundreds of connections, they all started with a single contact. It's never too late to take the first steps at building your network!)

We'll also going to add some of our partners' content onto Linked IN and see how this drives traffic to the various micro sites we have both within BinB and under their own domain names.

Many internet marketers say that having links from various sites can add a booster to your website and its ranking. We went on a campaign five years ago to get local businesses to add links to their sites to BinB which on the whole took a ton of energy and had limited success. Way back then people were not using content management systems, websites were built by their web designers in fixed html and so they had to ask for it to be done amongst other updates. And as we know, if we don't do stuff right away it tends not to happen as other stuff gets in the way!

The way we are approaching this second, belated campaign on link building is to produce three articles a week, a total of ten, which will each have at least six contextual links to the sites we wish to promote over the next 3-6 months. These articles will be published to our sites and also to Linked IN plus other networks. The first three are:

  1. Is your website generating sales leads?
  2. Search engine friendly websites + email marketing = ?
  3. Chasing key words to drive search traffic your way
We'll monitor the traffic to and from these articles. Look at the number of links indexed by the search engines and more importantly if the position of web pages for particular key phrases is impacted.

Last year a search for famous people born in April found 2 links to our sites on page 1 of Google. The No 1 link went to a businessinberkshire.co.uk page, while the 7th link went to the onthisdayinhistory.co.uk site. The BinB link was clicked by 275 people. How many people do you think clicked on the link in 7th place? Reply to this email and ask and I will tell you if you are interested or call 01753 852904.

Search engine friendly websites + email marketing = ?

Search engine friendly websites email marketingSearch engine friendly websites plus email marketing equal sales!

We launched our email marketing service back on 2001 after we'd been asked by a marketing agency to run an email marketing campaign for a national charity. Initially we used a standard html template which was sent out by the charity using their email in house system. This solution meant we had no tracking and so didn't know if our email got through or if the recipients had clicked through for more information.

Music of Mario Lanza lives on - News From Christian Jon Billett

Music of Mario Lanza lives on - News From Christian Jon BillettDecember was a busy month for Christian. After completing his album he spent much of his time in Manchesters Bridgewater Hall performing with the Hallé Orchestra, conducted by Nick Davies, hosting their Christmas shows. Performing songs such as The Christmas Song, Let it snow, O Holy Night and I'm dreaming of a White Christmas to a capacity audience, Christan and Nick had a wonderful time interacting with the Christmas crowd with highlights including a singalong (with actions) to the Twelve Days of Christmas and a very funky arrangement of " Santa Claus is coming to town "! All left feeling very Christmasy indeed!

What do customers ultimately buy?

What do customers ultimately buy? When speaking about data, I often refer to supermarkets and on-line retailers. They know when and what you purchased and value this information. Amazon are one of the best examples of companies that value their data. There can't be many people who haven't made a purchase from Amazon. So it provides a great reference point for other businesses. It helps them understand how they should use their data.

If you've purchased on Amazon, you'll be familiar with "people who purchased this product also ordered these products". They are using prior purchase data to suggest items of potential interest. It's a great way of enticing further purchases and it works!

Economy vs. Environment

Economy vs. EnvironmentLet the battle begin.... The government has just given its backing for BAA to forge ahead with the development of plans to create a 3rd runway at Heathrow Airport.

Opponents to the runway are claiming this will be a disaster for the environment with increased carbon emissions, noise and air pollution and even heavier traffic problems in the surrounding area. Those in favour are claiming a 3rd runway will be a major boost to the UK economy creating more jobs, vital improvements in travel which will in turn increase business and tourism opportunities.

Are your water pipes protected from freezing this winter?

Are your water pipes protected from freezing this winter?Cold weather has many attractive and enjoyable attributes: winter sports; snug, cosy afternoons in front of a warm fire; sunlight glistening on frost-covered trees... But sadly cold weather can also cause problems and damage to our homes.

When a water pipe in your home freezes and bursts, then not only is it extremely inconvenient and upsetting, but also very expensive to repair. The culprit pipe itself may be relatively minor, quick and easy to fix. But it is the leaking water cascading down walls and through ceilings and floors that causes the most damage to your furniture, appliances and sentimental items. And the most heartache and frustration for you.
