Good morning <07 Name>
Most of this week has been spent indoors. Cancelled a whole bunch of engagements to ensure I didn't pass on man flu and it would seem that I'm not alone. Everyone seems to be suffering with something or other... bring on the Spring.
Anyway, enough whinging, let's crack on with what's cooking out there... John Redwood is certainly earning his keep this week... at least he's asking what's going on. What's the betting a slice of the £25 billion, ( which is nearly 2x the £15 billion net contribution the South East makes to the UK coffers, find out more in this very interesting report from SEERA ) is going to pay golden handshakes to the guys who chose to gamble the life savings of their investors on black, or was it red! I hear the main man was a zoologist... perhaps he could check into the Irish story that broke this week, apparently there are rumours that the Irish discovered Africa!
Next year there will be a number of changes around 'ere... a range of journalists are getting involved as BinB's ability to levitate is proving amazingly powerful and they'd like to be seen in lights. A number of our email marketing resellers, Internet Marketing experts in their own right, are so impressed they are champing at the bit to get involved. Old contacts wearing new hats are stepping up to the plate... We are working on a few multi site projects with some of our networking partners and so all in all, it's going to get hot round here... no time for Man Flu... we've got a business to take to the next level!
And since we are only really busy and not really, really busy, we're going to use the spare time to help a whole bunch of organisations that do great work in and around the Borough. Over the last few years I've been watching charities do their thing and on more than one occasion, helped out in some shape or form... usually large and round!! Next year I'm going to become actively involved in the Berkshire Community Foundation, an amazing organisation that helps many, many small organisations across the county find funds to make things happen. If you want to find out more about their activities, get yourself along Thursday evening. A total of £407,067.57 worth of grants has been distributed during the last six months to 178 groups and 23 individuals!
Enjoy this week's news...
