Do Your Customers Get the Red Carpet Treatment?

Verbatim is well known in West Berkshire and beyond as The Phone Answering Service; it handles thousands of calls every day for companies large and small so that no caller is faced with an engaged tone, endless ringing or the dreaded answer phone. Praised by customers for their professionalism, Verbatim is rolling out the red carpet with a new VIP service that adds a personal touch to enhance the service even further.

When calling a company as a customer, you expect to be treated in a consistent and professional manner by the person answering the call. However, this is not always the case and often it's because the company you are calling doesn't have a satisfactory executive call handling service in place. It's a common problem and one which has prompted Verbatim to launch their VIP service for handling executive calls for their clients.

Redwood warns of Government spending black hole

Giving away part of the rebate was reckless and wrong. John Redwood pointed out yesterday in Parliament that Alastair Darling has just added a £70 billion spending black hole to his £25 billion Northern Rock black hole, by signing up to the expensive EU budget settlement for the next seven years and giving away part of the UK rebate. All this money will have to be borrowed, meaning large interest bills and ultimate repayment by the taxpayer.

Good morning <07 Name>

Most of this week has been spent indoors. Cancelled a whole bunch of engagements to ensure I didn't pass on man flu and it would seem that I'm not alone. Everyone seems to be suffering with something or other... bring on the Spring.

Anyway, enough whinging, let's crack on with what's cooking out there... John Redwood is certainly earning his keep this week... at least he's asking what's going on. What's the betting a slice of the £25 billion, ( which is nearly 2x the £15 billion net contribution the South East makes to the UK coffers, find out more in this very interesting report from SEERA ) is going to pay golden handshakes to the guys who chose to gamble the life savings of their investors on black, or was it red! I hear the main man was a zoologist... perhaps he could check into the Irish story that broke this week, apparently there are rumours that the Irish discovered Africa!

Next year there will be a number of changes around 'ere... a range of journalists are getting involved as BinB's ability to levitate is proving amazingly powerful and they'd like to be seen in lights. A number of our email marketing resellers, Internet Marketing experts in their own right, are so impressed they are champing at the bit to get involved. Old contacts wearing new hats are stepping up to the plate... We are working on a few multi site projects with some of our networking partners and so all in all, it's going to get hot round here... no time for Man Flu... we've got a business to take to the next level!

And since we are only really busy and not really, really busy, we're going to use the spare time to help a whole bunch of organisations that do great work in and around the Borough. Over the last few years I've been watching charities do their thing and on more than one occasion, helped out in some shape or form... usually large and round!! Next year I'm going to become actively involved in the Berkshire Community Foundation, an amazing organisation that helps many, many small organisations across the county find funds to make things happen. If you want to find out more about their activities, get yourself along Thursday evening. A total of £407,067.57 worth of grants has been distributed during the last six months to 178 groups and 23 individuals!

Company Car Leasing

Leasing a company car can not only save you money, it can also get you behind the wheel of a high spec range-topping model which you previously thought was beyond your budget. How does company car leasing work and how can it save you money? Read on to find out...

Unlike buying a car on a finance agreement, leasing a car means you only pay for the use of the vehicle and not the purchase price. With company car leasing, the monthly payments cover the cost of the depreciation over the time the company uses the car, with the option to buy or return the vehicle at the end of the agreement. As leasing payments tend to be cheaper than purchasing, it's an affordable way to drive a new (or nearly new) car - possibly a luxury model that might otherwise be out of your budget range.

Short Breaks in the North of England

The North of England has plenty to offer for couples or families planning a short break this autumn. There's plenty of events and activities going on that will appeal to children of all ages 2 to 16 and with Halloween and Christmas looming, it's no surprise to find plenty of themed activities over the next few weeks. So let's take a closer look at the North of England...

Harewood House near Leeds provides a wonderful family day out. Currently running a series of 'Autumn Glory' activities, the stately home includes an adventure playground, bird garden, and lakeside walks. There is also a Christmas Fayre taking place there between 23rd and 25th November.

Pirates of the Caribbean Crocs for Christmas

With the latest Pirates of the Caribbean film due out this week, 'At World's End', we're gearing up for another bout of 'pirate fever' here at home. All three of our children love the films, despite the scary bits, and can't wait to see the latest one. They're also hoping Father Christmas will have room for some Pirates of the Caribbean Crocs on his sleigh...
