 The Wokingham Arts forum is trialling an exciting new Arts & Crafts market on the 1st Sunday of June, July and August. The result of a brain storming session of the group to help showcase the exceptional talents of local artists and craftspeople it will bring the artisans to the public arena in Market Place, Wokingham.
Tim Byard-Jones, chairman of Wokingham Arts Forum explained "The idea for a cultural equivalent of a farmers' market - where local artists can sell their own work direct to the public - came up in a meeting of the Wokingham Arts Forum, and there was so much enthusiasm we were able to hit the ground running straight away. Events like this show that both the talent and the desire to support local cultural activity is there to be harnessed."
