Tour of Britain - Newbury

Newbury hope to be part of this year's "Tour of Britain". If Newbury council agree, then the town will host part of the race on September 8th.

For safety reasons, the event organisers have approached the town councillors to see if they would be able to close roads and suspend parking within the last 8 kilometres of the race. The Arts and Leisure committee of the town council have agreed to set up a group to look into hosting part of the contest.
