Monitor and Control Computer Access with Snoopstick

Are your children really safe when playing on the internet? Do you know what sites your employees are visiting? The Snoopstick could be the answer - it's the only computer monitoring device that lets you monitor what is going on in real time. What's more, the SnoopStick monitoring components are completely hidden, so there are no telltale signs that the computer is being monitored.

The SnoopStick is an amazing device no bigger than your thumb and less than quarter of an inch thick. Yet it allows you to monitor and control Internet access of up to 3 computers from anywhere, it's simple to use, and fits easily in your pocket. The Snoopstick isn't like other monitoring products which only give simple screen capturing or an email alert - it actually let's you see what's going on NOW as it works in real time.

Contextual links

Do You Need Quality Links to Your Site?

Speak to anyone about Search Engine Optimisation and they'll usually recommend using some quality reciprocal links. Setting up these links can indeed help your search engine status, but it's not always as easy as it sounds. How can you generate quality contextual links to your website without investing huge amounts of time and money?

Building good quality contextual links can be a time-consuming and often frustrating task. You ask someone to add a link to your site, they agree, but then when you check a few days later it hasn't been done. They've either forgetten or they've had to pass the job to their web designer who hasn't had time to do it. Because essentially you're asking for a favour, you don't feel comfortable chasing it too far.

Good morning <07 Name>

Last Wednesday, after despatching our email out to YOU lucky readers, I went and paid a visit to a well respected Internet marketer. So well respected he's been on Working Lunch talking about web stuff... seems that's a popular show with business people... better work my angle out and get myself along! We discussed our recent results with SEO and he was jolly impressed.

It is difficult for us to know if what we are doing is "special" or unique in the market unless we connect with others in the same space. This I have been doing over the last few weeks and it would seem that we have got something very special indeed.

Last week I mentioned the work we've been doing with WVL in relation to the Mini Cooper. We need to create more content but then sometimes you just have to wait for clients to catch up! The space is flying high under a bunch of different search strings and 12 people have wandered in directly from searches in the last few days... and there will be more to come... now it's about a stranger walking by, in a metaphorical way, and the phone ringing... lots!

Enough about us... and that's what Paul thought on Thursday, everywhere he turned he kept hearing Business in Berkshire being mentioned at the Refer-On Jamboree. It was an interesting morning. Nigel Temple's presentation just gets better and better... you'd better go buy his book before it sells out. Some Aussie tried to inspire us from a far but the technology fell over, that's why you need to get out and see people in real time... so get along to a Refer-On event near you and see if you connect with the others in the group. If you don't, try another group or another network... just get out and about.

Friday, following on from a chat with a nearly new member, I was sitting in front of his client telling him how great we are! He signed up on the day, inputting his credit card details as we polished off a bottle of Aqua con gas. Marcus Cauchi talks about rewarding yourself when a plan comes off and so off I went to The Game Shop to get a copy of FIFA08 for PS3... 3 hours later Charlie was playing a match against someone in a far away land... technology, isn't it amazing?

I spent yesterday at the Thames Valley Innovation Conference, Green Park. Excellent day, a whole gaggle of seminars for those with the capacity to listen, 40 or so exhibitors and 15 companies taking part in the Innovation Showcase. We asked people to score the Innovation Showcase companies and I will share the results with you next week.

I was joined by Mark from Betterbusinessblogging.com and Dave from NRG Networks. Mark has been building the BinB blog which we will also share with you next week. I bet you can't wait!

Go get yourself one of our SILVER SEO Memberships and watch your content fly... or if all this techy talk makes you dizzy, just join our gang and become a FRIEND!

I'll be looking for some business leads from Mary's breakfast for our Friday, business leads newsletter which is despatched to members only.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Bonfire Night - Safety with Fireworks

The law governing the manufacturing (or importing), storage, use and discharge of fireworks has tightened.

Don't buy fireworks from the back of a van or from any other illegal outlet. They may not comply with safety requirements, may not have been tested (BS 7114) and so may not carry product liability insurance.

Fireworks and alcohol do not mix and could easily be a lethal combination. Whoever is in charge of setting off the fireworks or lighting the bonfire needs to be responsible and in a fit state

Sake on the rocks changes British drinkers' perception

Sake producers and food companies from Akita, Japan surprised many visitors to the Restaurant Show, held at Earls Court last week with tasty pickles, rice crackers and chilled premium sake.

The event was organised by the Akita Prefectural Government, Japan and JR Ventures, London who both branded it a great success. This was the first time a local Japanese Government Department has sponsored local producers and the first time that both Akita Government and all the producers had exhibited at an event outside of Japan.

Cancer detection with velscope

A new light has been developed to detect oral cancer. It works by virtue of the fact that healthy cells in the mouth glow green under a specific wavelength of light, but unhealthy tissue does not. If you have an ulcer or swelling in your mouth which looks suspicious, we can look at it under this light and determine if the area is normal or abnormal.
