Personalised USB Drives - the Ideal Corporate Gift for Clients

With Christmas just around the corner, now is a good time to start thinking about corporate gifts for your clients. And what better than a USB Flash Drive personalised with your company branding?

A USB Flash Drive makes a memorable gift for your clients - it's useful, it's pocket-sized, and best of all: they will be reminded of your business every time they use it. USB flash drives offer many advantages over other portable storage devices such as CDs. They are more compact, faster, hold more data, and are more reliable due to their lack of moving parts - plus they have a more durable design.

Good morning <07 Name>

There's nothing guaranteed in this world except change. Google has been changing its algorithm to penalise paid for links. Just as we tried adding affiliate links to our OnthisdayinHistory.co.uk website. Sods law! We thought, since we were getting 10,000 visitors a month to our onthisday website that we could perhaps earn a few pennies through affiliate links at the top of the page. To date, 3 weeks into our research: 35,000 adverts have been seen in the top banner; 28 people have clicked through; 1 person has made a purchase... and when that purchase appeared, the cheers went up around the house as if we'd won the world cup! The price of this exercise, a point off our ranking! We'll let it run for the month and then go get that point back!

The process has bumped us into some other code that works in a different, more positive way for the web viewers... or that's our first impression. We'll try it out on some web space and then report back on its impact.

A number of our clients had been suffering from email not being delivered. Barry checked into this and found that Spamhaus had been managing things differently. He's written an article entitled, "What is my IP Address?" to help those who think they may be having problems but don't know where to turn.

This week I had a full diary with appointments in London on Monday, helping educate students. At the University of Reading on Tuesday and a bunch of meetings today including a major charity project and I was looking forward to recording a single with Jazzmouse, for a major label, on Friday. All of which have been cancelled due to catching Man Flu which as we all know is far worse that ordinary flu!

May I strongly recommend that if you have a virus that you stay at home and don't go spreading it around to other self employed people whose livelihood is directly impacted by their ability to spread positive vibes... not flipping germs. When I was a rep, calling on opticians, independent professionals, I would never knock on the door if I had a cold as I appreciated the impact my actions may have had. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are totally selfish and wander around spreading germs... please don't be one of these people.

That's my moan for the day over... you don't understand, I'm suffering!

Go find some new business today and treat yourself to a seat at the Chelsea v Reading game at the end of January... see you there... Thank you to all of you who have believed in Business in Berkshire and joined our gang. Next year we will be even more visible, running monthly events, some that will be open to anyone to join in. Others that will be specifically for members and will be aimed at helping them grow their businesses... all this time off is giving me thinking time... dangerous!

Over the next few months you may well be getting a call from our telemarketing partner, RKRM. I have asked them to call all those people who receive our newsletter and gain feedback. We will also be running an online survey shortly, so if you would like to offer up a prize as an incentive to our readers then please respond to this email, making an offer we can't refuse!

Protecting the Inner Diva

Protecting the Inner Diva (a Woman's Guide to Survival)

Think for one moment about the roles that women take on in today's society; homemaker, wife/partner, mother, business woman immediately spring to mind, but we are also expected to go to the gym, organise social events (holidays, Christmas, school holiday activities), remember birthdays, anniversaries and all the paraphernalia that goes with it (cards, presents..). Oh, and yes of course, you have to look fabulous so regular trips to the hairdresser, nail salon and beauticians are advisable, if not compulsory, in some circles.
