Communications and Media Business in Berkshire

Good morning <Name>

Do you recall last week how I'd been asked about first page seo results and we published an article about it? Well yesterday our page went into 4th place on google for the above search and for first page seo we're currently 10th. Do me a favour and search for the two phrases and see it with your own eyes. Then consider, if your business was search engine optimisation where you would want this key phrase? Then send me an email of congratulations so I know you're listening!

Also, I mentioned that Nigel Temple had just joined us. Go do a search for internet marketing masterclass and see where he is. And is this via his own intensively worked website or through a "workers co-operative" where many are working together to help each other?

Then ask yourself these questions:
  • What do I do when I have a need / business pain? a) ask a friend b) pick up the yellow pages c) search google
  • If the answer is a) or c) then shouldn't you seriously consider joining Business in Berkshire?
Only £180 + Vat per year .
Can you really afford not to?

Enjoy!

Eliminate the fear of Cold Calling!
Eliminate the fear of Cold Calling
Whether you want more time in front of senior decision makers or to quickly build your client base and get instant sales, cold calling can really help.

However, we all know what a chore cold calling can be. You can probably count the number of sales people who enjoy making pro-active sales calls on one hand...or maybe even one finger! But get it right and it can be the most effective way to gain new clients and secure more business. Because it is loathed and misunderstood, if you understand it and embrace it there is a golden opportunity to rise above the rest and grab the sale!

Never Miss Another Business Call
Verbatim
How often have you missed out on a piece of business because you weren’t able to respond quickly enough to a customer’s call? How often have you felt frustrated at being unable to contact someone by phone? Or wasted valuable time negotiating a baffling list of callcentre menus only to be put through to voicemail? Newbury-based Verbatim successfully address these issues by offering a professional telephone answering service at the fraction of the cost of hiring reception staff.

There is a huge volume of statistics to support the importance of good telephone answering. According to reports carried out by BT, NOP, and The Survey Shop, 98% of people say poor telephone handling gives a bad impression of a company straight away (and 69% will never call back). 600 of the businesses surveyed indicated that poor telephone handling was costing their firms thousands of pounds in lost deals every year.

Outsourcing or Abdication?
Pro Excellence
It takes a special kind of person to relish the prospect of cold calling for a living. Whilst seasoned sales professionals take it in their stride, the average new business owner would prefer the idea of someone else making all the calls and just turning up and putting the ball in the back of the net!

Red Nose Day Top 10 Search Favourite
Red Nose Day
Red Nose Day has been taking the search engine charts by storm over the past week according to figures released by Lycos and Yahoo!, both of which publish ‘top search’ charts. Red Nose Day is already in the top 10 of online searches with ‘Comic Relief’ following close behind.

Red Nose Day is proving a hugely popular search, reaching 2nd place on the Lycos chart published last Thursday. Indeed it appears twice in the Yahoo! Top 10 – once for the phrase ‘red nose day’ and again for ‘comic relief’.

All this searching has naturally driven a record quantity of traffic to the Comic Relief website which apparently has scored over 1.1 million unique site visitors. Some reports claim that £4 million has already been raised via online donations – a figure that far exceeds previous years’ efforts.

First Page SEO Results
When a prospective customer searches for your type of business, what are the chances of them finding you on the first page of Google? Are the search engines able to find your site easily? If you’re not getting the results you want from your website, what can you do to boost your search rankings without spending a fortune on optimisation? There is an answer – and for just £180 per year you can join in.

Recent surveys focusing on search engine usage tell us that more than 60% of internet users click on a link that appears on the first page of their search results. Around 90% will venture as far as the third page, with just a handful choosing to go beyond. If you’re in business, this means one thing: to stand the best chance of being found by prospective customers you need to appear on the first page of search results for the major search engines. Or at least to appear somewhere on the first 3 pages.
