Communications and Media Business in Berkshire

Good morning <Name>

Yesterday I was asked about research on first page search engine listings. We had run a story back in May 06 about a study done by Jupiter Research on behalf of iProspect. Thought it made a great deal of sense to revisit this. Recent analysis of our January stories shows that 92% achieved a page 1 listing!

And it's all well and good having great technology and super widgets but if your price isn't right then you will not get the orders flooding in. Last week Nigel Temple became one of our newest Business in Berkshire members, choosing the Bronze option at only £180 + Vat per year. We must have it right if Nigel's spending money... he knows a good deal when he sees it! By way of a thank you we have given him a featured listing in today's Communications and Media newsletter. Enjoy!

When a prospective customer searches for your type of business, what are the chances of them finding you on the first page of Google? Are the search engines able to find your site easily? If you’re not getting the results you want from your website, what can you do to boost your search rankings without spending a fortune on optimisation? There is an answer – and for just £180 per year you can join in.

Recent surveys focusing on search engine usage tell us that more than 60% of internet users click on a link that appears on the first page of their search results. Around 90% will venture as far as the third page, with just a handful choosing to go beyond. If you’re in business, this means one thing: to stand the best chance of being found by prospective customers you need to appear on the first page of search results for the major search engines. Or at least to appear somewhere on the first 3 pages.

Are you making the most of your web site? It is a perfect way to tell potential customers about your business and a downloadable article or report is a fair exchange for an email address.

Many small business owners could write more on their website. Plus there are lots of other opportunities such as newsletters, sales letters, blogs, and press releases which can help to develop a satisfying business.

Working Abroad
Working Abroad
Working abroad during the long university summer holidays or on gap years enables students to get away and earn money at the same time. Working abroad is a fantastic opportunity to discover new cultures and gain invaluable work experience. Many of the largest graduate recruiters are international businesses; they need employees who can demonstrate they can adapt to working abroad.

The majority of travellers look for work abroad at some point during their gap year to increase their dwindling funds. Work can either earn or save the traveller crucial cash.
