Good morning <07 Name>
What a great week.
Wednesday morning I had a conversation with a new contact, an hour later he was round for a meeting and 2 hours later we agreed initial works. By Monday his website foundations were ready... that's the way to do it! We'll just polish it up a tad more and get some special features ready before we present it to you, our viewers!
Wednesday evening I went along to a Chamber event in Reading where I bumped into a few chaps I haven't seen for a while... it's good to talk! This resulted in a lead from one and a meeting with the other. I also made some new contacts, so an evening well spent.
Thursday allowed me to get on the phone and connect with those people who had emailed us for more information. It is important to respond quickly to business people who are interested in what you have to offer. In today's world people expect a response within hours, if not minutes, so you'd better get with the programme!
During these calls I found a couple of leads for Friday's Business Leads email which you will have enjoyed should you be a BinB member... have you seen our FRIENDS membership, only £99 + Vat... see the opportunity below...
Monday I went along for the Royal Borough Olympic Meeting at Dorney... my mission, to ensure local businesses are benefiting from the build up to the event. The council is making all efforts to ensure our inclusion. They have been able to open a couple of projects but local suppliers failed to respond. It's no good a few of us championing local business if they fail to respond when given the opportunity. Make sure you don't miss the boat when offered an oar!
Monday afternoon I explained to the board of the local football club (for whom Charlie scored on Sunday!) how we could use BinB to generate funds for the club... watch this space.
Yesterday I visited my friends at the Berkshire Community Foundation which resulted in yours truly volunteering to head up the Windsor & Maidenhead Community Fund which will be launched next year. BCF do a brilliant job of ensuring funds get to the right place. Since 1985, Berkshire Community Foundation has awarded over £4.37 million in grants to over 2,700 grouops within the local area!
Their next event is Bring a £1 to work day and in the spirit of cracking on with it, I have created a Just Giving account, my mission is to generate £999. This will be achieved by 10 of you who are ready to take out our FRIENDS membership, making a donation here:

And then a few other pals chucking in a quid or two to top things off!
I followed this up with a meeting with Vince Golder with whom I'll be working on a few ideas to help us both grow our businesses and I feel some effort going into BCF to close the loop and ensure the energy is balanced.
If you have been dithering about a FRIENDS account, get on with it by clicking above or below... if no one else has made a donation when you click through... be the first to donate and we'll make that extra effort to enhance your profile!
