Tomorrow the kids start going back to school. There’s not been a lot of sunshine around this summer, we had a good day on Saturday but not many similar days this year. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for an Indian Summer!
What are you doing tomorrow evening or Friday? Get yourself along to the Thames Valley Franchise Exhibition. It will be an interesting event this, attracting many different types of people all who are looking to build a business.
Many people like to see that a formula has worked and that is the nature of franchises, they are proven models that have been mapped out so you can see the path. All you then need to do is add your energy and make it work. Obviously, like all businesses, there are a bunch of franchises that are pants but then you need to sift the wheat from the chaff and make hay while the sun is shining. I feel I’ve heard these phrases before!!
Then, at the weekend, you need to start seriously thinking about your entry for this year’s Thames Valley Business Awards. It is a big event at Wentworth, hundreds of the Thames Valley’s top businesses people in one place for one night only. In fact, 3 years ago, I met David Drummond, SEGROS man in Europe as we both left the event at the same time and a few weeks later his PR people were over to check out what we do, he liked it so much. I’m still waiting for the call David to sort your online marketing out. P.S. I did a search for Slough Trading Estate just now and the page that is displayed can’t be found. Your web people have created a new site and forgot to add a redirect. Well, at least it looks good... when they find it!
