Good afternoon Berkshire
• What was life like before BBC TV was launched? • What was life like before the M1 was built? • What was life like before computer viruses? • What was life like before 2020 Social Media?
All the above have a couple of things in common ...
They all have a major impact on communications Without the BBC we wouldn’t have Top Gear & Jeremy Clarkson as a celebrity and so there would have been little point in building the M1. Many wish he would catch a virus and today he has 23,986 followers on Twitter, currently a hot social media tool for celebrity engagement.
In the interests of helping Jeremy become a bigger Twitter celeb than Philip Schofield, who probably drives a Skoda (@schofe with 442,000!) I would request that at least 20 of you start following him on Twitter and then reinforce this mission by sending out the following tweet:
@2020socialmedia would like @jerryclarkson to have over 25,000 twitter followers, please follow him on the day the M1 was opened. Thank you.
We'll spot our fans and then do our bit to make you more famous ... and on the wheels will turn ;)

They all happened on the 2nd November BBC TV was rolled out in 1936. The first section of the M1 was opened in 1959. A wiggly computer worm was first to make its name in 1988, created by the son of the former chief of the National Computer Security Center (USA obviously, they can’t spell).
AND on this day we launched our @2020socialmedia Twitter account to the world and will now follow VIPs and sponsor of our event and others we mention along the way, like Mr Clarkson who gets to drive motors around the world and earn a bundle into the bargain ... bloody marvellous work if you can get it ...
People love or hate him but he’s having a laugh and those video clips of motors make for some great social media applications.
Did you all see the Mrs Mac pie ad which featured a great looking motor ...
